ASICS GT 2150 Trail

The ASICS GT 2150 Trail Running shoes are for those who don’t want to sacrifice the features of a great road shoe.

Does running on trails continue to hurt your feet?

What you want is a pair of trail running shoes that cushions and protects your feet, grips your heels so they don’t ride up and down, and allows your toes to move without getting pinched.

ASICS has designed a trail running shoe that gives you all those options and more.

ASICS GT 2150 Trail Running shoes feature a GEL Cushioning System that absorbs the constant shocks of the foot hitting the ground, while the DuoMax midsole supports the foot. Those buying trail running shoes are looking for more than a road shoe, and while the ASICS GT 2150 is derived from the company’s road shoe model, this shoe is specifically designed for a solid performance on rough, rugged ground. Due to the WET GRIP outsole, this shoe protects the foot over tough or wet terrain and allows the runner to maintain traction.

While the trail specific ASICS GT 2150 shoe for runners isn’t new, the designers continue to fine-tune this trail running shoe making it better and better.

This model includes I.G.S or an Impact Guidance System that enhances the gait, a Space Trusstic System and, to augment stability, the designers included a DuoMax Support System.

When running, those socks pulled on to protect the feet have a tendency to get wet. The ASICS GT 2150 has added both Solyte midsole material and a ComforDry Sockliner.

The Latest Features

The I.G.S. assists the runner’s natural gait from heel to toe, while Space Trusstic System®, a midfoot stabilizer, allows the foot to function with more efficiency.

The Solyte midsole of the ASICS GT 2150 Trail Running shoe cushions the foot and adds durability even with wear on rough terrain. This trail running shoe combines the best of both a road and trail shoe, making the shoe great for a variety of environments.

While the ASICS GT 2150 is resistant to water and protects the runner from the weather, such as rain and snow, the material also breathes, so sweat isn’t trapped in the shoes.

The ASICS GT 2150 also has a gusseted tongue, meaning that it’s attached at the sides to keep out debris, such as fall leaves, pebbles and wet grass.

The WET GRIP® outsole uses a blend of non-organic and organic material that helps the runner maintain traction on damp, wet surfaces and keeps the runner from slipping and falling. Shoe design enhances both down as well as uphill traction. Reversed lugs also enhance traction that helps keep the runner upright and moving forward.
Attention To Detail

A seemingly small, but important design of the ASICS GT 2150 shoe is that they come with flat, rather than round laces. Anyone who wears running shoes regularly knows how annoying it can be when the shoes refuse to stay tied. Either the runner must stop and retie the shoes or risk tripping on the laces and falling. The flat laces are a detail that enhances safety.

Space Trusstic System® is designed to not only to improve stability, but also provides arch support and helps the runner maintain enough flex to run unhindered. The shoes are designed with reflective 3M Scotchlite accents to increase runner visibility at dawn, dusk or during bad weather.

Overall, the ASICS GT 2150 Trail Running shoes are light weight and do not feel like lead weights on the feet. The special construction improves traction, which is an important safety issue, and the shoes provide good support for the feet, regardless of the roughness of the terrain.

The American Podiatric Medical Association has placed its Seal of Acceptance on the ASICS GT 2150 Trail Running shoes.
